Type Connection

In design, whether for the web or for print, designers often choose to use multiple fonts in their design. When you do choose to use multiple fonts remember that less is often more - more then 3 different fonts is excessive and will most likely make your page look disjointed.

If you are going to use multiple fonts, make sure that you are choosing fonts that coordinate with each other. You should choose a font for an area of text based on the function/purpose of that text and for the intended tone you would like to convey. Logos, headings, and/or links can often be areas you may want to use a different font for emphasis. The following game will be helpful in showing you what kinds of fonts will work together successfully.
